Why we made this.

Zikrayati.

In Arabic — زكرياتي — it means: my memories.

Not memories in general. Not a category of sentimental things. My memories. The specific ones. The irreplaceable ones. The ones of a person, or a place, or a version of your life that no longer exists in the same way.

We chose that word because it is the most honest name for what we actually make.

The problem we solved

We started Zikrayati because we understood a specific feeling. You love someone. You want to give them something that matches the weight of that love. And everything available to you — the flowers that die, the candle that burns out, the engraved bracelet with a name that isn’t a face — lands somewhere short of what you actually feel.

The gift is fine. The moment passes. And the photo of them is still sitting on your phone, doing nothing.

Or the loss is still present, and you carry it without anywhere to put it that you can hold.

We made a way to change that.

What we make

Every piece we make starts with your photo — the specific one, the right one — and places it inside a pendant you can wear every single day. To the world, it looks like a beautiful piece of jewelry. To you, or to whoever you give it to, it is the closest thing to carrying a person with you that exists.

Hold it toward the light and the photo appears. Some people do this privately every morning. Some people show it to no one. Some people share the moment with the person they gave it to and never forget what their face did when they found it.

Our promise

If you are not sure your photo will work — send it to us before you order.

We look at every image. We will tell you honestly whether it will project clearly and beautifully. If it will not, we will tell you why, and we will suggest how to find one that will. We would rather lose a sale than send you something that does not do justice to the person you are trying to honor.

That is not a marketing line. It is the reason we are still here.

A note on who we are

We are a small brand. Every piece that leaves us has been looked at by a person, not processed by a machine. We care whether what arrives in that box matches what you imagined when you chose the photo.
